John's journey began with a poignant moment: witnessing his most talented credit analyst burn out from relentless seven-day workweeks. This profound experience inspired John to develop tools to improve his team's well-being, taking proactive steps instead of waiting for others to face similar challenges.
John's exploration of costly and unsuitable platforms for commercial banking, alongside challenges integrating data with bank processes, shaped Argiro's visionary approach. We integrate cutting-edge technology with deep banking operations knowledge, bridging gaps in outdated systems to deliver seamless solutions for deal origination, decision support, workflow management, financial intelligence and risk management.
When decommissioning legacy systems, we prioritise eliminating or transitioning every functionality, empathising with bankers frustrated by daily logins to multiple systems.

John is an entrepreneurial and visionary financial services leader with deep expertise drawn from three decades in global banking. As the designer, architect and builder of one of the world’s most sophisticated digital credit platforms, John is passionate about empowering and making life easier for people working in banks, non-banks and organisations with material counterparty credit risk exposure. As the CEO, John has responsibility for all aspects of the business with a specific focus on strategy, growth, product development and engineering. Prior to establishing Argiro, John worked in the US and Australia with ANZ Bank and within financial consulting services at Deloitte and EY. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
John also leads the Argiro product and technology team of software engineering and business analysts who are experts with all leading-edge technology/software providers (GCP, AWS, Snowflake). The team, located in Australia, India and the United States, has significant experience acquired within large financial institutions and as software providers to banks globally. The team has a proven track record in shaping world class credit technology solutions and being flexible and responsive to unique customer requirements.

Charles is an experienced and engaging professional with over 30 years experience in developed and emerging countries (incl Australia, Asia, UK/Europe, North America and Pacific).
As an accomplished and well networked Senior Banker, Charles exhibits strong collaborative sales and leadership skills to drive and deliver financial and non-financial KPI’s. Charles has hands on experience in the Corporate and Institutional banking market across multiple industry segments in originating, maintaining and generating revenue from clientele to meet and exceed stakeholder requirements on a long term sustainable basis.
Experienced in Leadership, Relationship Management (customer centricity), Credit Research & Analytics, Risk (credit and operational), Operations, Governance & Compliance and Regulatory engagement, Charles has built a range of complementary skills across multiple geographical regions.

Dipak brings over 25 years of experience in Banking, Finance, and Management Consulting across organizations such as ANZ Bank, Goldman Sachs, PwC Consulting, and Deloitte. His career spans multiple regions, including New Zealand, the Pacific, United Kingdom, United States, and Asia, having held senior leadership and executive roles covering credit, business transformation, programme management, and frontline relationship management.
Dipak is known for his exceptional leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, complex problem-solving skills and building trusted relationships and has been called upon to lead large-scale, end-to-end transformational initiatives, where his ability to balance commercial, customer, and risk considerations, coupled with his strategic insight, has driven the successful development and implementation of impactful business strategies.
Technology Lead
Deeptanshu brings extensive experience in software engineering and technology leadership to Argiro, having previously served as Engineering Chapter Lead at ANZ Bank and spending several years at PwC. With a deep background in full-stack development, Deeptanshu specialises in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js), as well as JavaScript, Redux, GraphQL, and Tailwind CSS. He also has rich expertise in .NET technologies, including C#, WPF, Silverlight, and SQL, leveraging frameworks such as MVVM and MVC to deliver robust solutions across multiple domains.
Deeptanshu’s strong product development expertise is complemented by his ability to manage complex projects end-to-end. He is highly skilled in overseeing day-to-day operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering timely updates to stakeholders, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.
With a proven track record of driving innovation and creating impact, Deeptanshu plays a pivotal role in shaping Argiro’s technology strategy and delivering world-class solutions to our clients.

He has led portfolios exceeding $50 Billion across Tier One banks and now advises banks, private credit funds and non-bank lenders on how to benchmark and transform the way property risk is underwritten, assessed and managed.
Phil’s arrival significantly expands Argiro’s ability to support clients with targeted advisory in origination, valuations, credit process efficiency and risk strategy, strengthening our role as a trusted partner for lenders navigating complex credit environments.
With regulatory scrutiny increasing, especially across non-bank and private credit, Phil’s insight positions Argiro to help our clients lead with credibility, confidence and capability.
AI / ML Subject Matter Expert
Joseph is a leading GenAI/ML, crypto and tokenised assets expert, and has developed and implemented some of the most advanced AI and machine learning models currently in use, particularly those leveraging and focused on generative AI. Joseph's experience includes the development and deployment of financial spreading, credit algorithmic models, sentiment analysis and the development of tokenization assets to deliver a complete service layer that includes advisory, token customization, orchestration, and distribution. Joseph is a fintech founder and has developed applications for major banks like ANZ, NAB, and Westpac. He will bring specialist expertise to advise Argiro and its clients on the use of AI within the Argiro platform to accelerate and transform the credit management process.

Manny is the Chief Risk Officer for Export Finance Australia, and has more than 30 years’ domestic and international banking and insurance experience at the highest levels. He has held senior risk and banking roles at ANZ, NAB, CBA, Bank of America, S&P and IAG, and brings deep subject matter expertise to Argiro in the areas of credit risk, market risk, governance and credit transformation. As a leader of large diverse and global teams, Manny has worked closely with John Argiro in prior roles and shares his passion and track record of implementing world class credit solutions. As executive sponsor for the credit transformation programs at EFA and large Tier 1 banks, Manny will advise the Argiro Board on strategy, product development and governance and provide SME advice and support to customers during the implementation phase of the Argiro platform.

David brings 40 years of deep expertise in global banking and financial services, adding incredible depth to Argiro’s leadership. With his appointment, the collective experience of the Argiro team now exceeds 170 years, further strengthening our ability to deliver innovative solutions for credit and risk management.
David has an exceptional track record, having served as Group Chief Risk Officer at ANZ Bank, RBS/NatWest, and Westpac, where he led risk management for some of the world’s largest financial organisations. Starting as a credit officer, David has built and led teams across retail and wholesale lending, project finance, investment banking, and debt capital markets. His expertise spans the entire credit lifecycle, including strategy and policy, credit analysis and decisioning, model build and validation, portfolio management, and loan recovery.
With over 20 years of international experience in Hong Kong, the UK, and the USA, David has overseen credit risk operations across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, bringing a truly global perspective to Argiro.
Currently, David serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of MLC Life Insurance, Chair of their Board Risk Committee, and a member of the Board Audit and Board Remuneration Committees. His leadership and insights have extended to roles with the Clean Energy Finance Corporation, the International Financial Risk Institute, and FINSIA, as well as Bain Consulting.

Geoff led enterprise software services for the financial services industry as a partner with Deloitte before moving into executive risk and compliance roles in global banks. His career includes stints in GGM Compliance at ANZ Bank and working for Australia’s corporate regulator, ASIC. Geoff has worked in Asia Pac, North America, South America, Europe and Africa and he has spent much of his career building and managing regulatory relationships, and providing advice in the area of governance, information security, cyber, privacy, data sovereignty and regulatory engagement. He will use this diverse expertise to advise Argiro and its clients on a range of technology, governance, compliance and performance dimensions.

He has held CEO, Finance Advisory and Group Strategy roles at a number of leading ASX and private companies across Australia and NZ. Peter’s multi-industry perspective is drawn from a career spent in banking, stockbroking, superannuation and manufacturing, during which he has developed significant experience in commercial contract negotiation, mergers and acquisition, regulatory engagement, and treasury. Peter has responsibility for Argiro’s finance function, funding, capital raising and investor relations.
